Masonry & Site Walls
RetainingWalls.
A retaining wall is structure first and finish second. We build reinforced CMU retaining walls to the engineer's design — footing, reinforcing, grout, drainage, and waterproofing — for commercial site grading, roadway frontages, and residential lots with real elevation change.

Scope
- Reinforced CMU Retaining
- Footings & Drainage
- Grouted Cells
- Waterproofing Coordination
- Finished Faces
Drainage decides whether a retaining wall lasts. Weeps, drain board, gravel backfill, and perforated drain are installed per the civil and structural drawings before any backfill is placed.
Reinforcing and grout lifts are inspected at each stage, and the wall is backfilled only after grout has reached design strength.
Exposed faces can be finished in integral-color, split-face, or veneer so the wall matches the rest of the site package.
Questions we hear
- Do your retaining walls require an engineer's design?
- Most do. We build to the stamped structural design and coordinate with the engineer of record on reinforcing, drainage, and backfill requirements.
- Do you handle the drainage behind the wall?
- Yes. Weeps, drain board, gravel, and perforated drain are part of our scope and are installed before backfill.
- Can a retaining wall be finished to match other site walls?
- Yes. The exposed face can be integral-color block, split-face, or veneered to match the perimeter walls and building.
